Where there was smoke, no burned wires?

Guys,

We had a street flood and the rear passenger side carpet got wet. I dried it; however, while driving the cabin filled with smoke (unmistakable smell of burning wires) and it was coming from the passenger rear of the car, around the carpet area.
Lights are now not working.

I removed the rear door threshold to inspect the wiring and all of it looks fine. Are there additional wires in the back of the car (perhaps under the rear passenger carpet) that could have burned?

Thank you for any advice.

As the battery is located in the trunk there are various wires running through the cabin and under the passenger area. Do you have a wiring diagram?

Thanks for reply. I am aware of the battery and alarm/radio units in the back. Looking around the web I've figured out that the vacuum pump is also under the rear carpet apparently. I could have been that the pump and or related wires burned?

Regarding wire diagrams I did find a Russian website that has wiring diagrams listed by utility/control unit.

I will be checking this coming weekend.

Thank you!
