W140 exhaust flanges
I'm working on installing Eisenmann exhaust on my 1997 W140 S600. A while ago I purchased Eisenmann exhaust for W140. Unfortunately it's not a full cat back exhaust. It consists only of pipes, muffler and tailpipes. So in order to install it I need to supply a stock donor exhaust.
I don't want to cut my stock exhaust. I was trying to find a donor exhaust and already purchased 1992 600SEL exhaust but I run into an issue:
That 1992 600SEL exhaust has wrong flanges. My 1997 S600 exhaust has 2 flanges: one is 2-hole flange and another is 3-hole flange. Unfortunately 92 exhaust has a pair or 2-hole flanges.
Here are two pics of my exhaust and its flanges:
I was trying to find a right donor exhaust from 1997-1999 S600 LWB for a while but I couldn't find anything. Currently I'm looking for a Mercedes 3-hole flange which should fit a 2.5" pipe.
So I wonder where else (on which cars, on which models, which model years) did Mercdes use that 3-hole exhaust flange?
Any tips may help!
Thanks!
