1992 MB 500SEL
Exclamation w140 trunk stuck

Hello everyone, I recently acquired my first W140. A 1992 500SEL with only 80k original miles! However, I noticed the wire for the rear heated seats was detached so I re-attached it last night. Today the battery was dead, the battery is located in the trunk has become an issue as the trunk release will not unlatch. I turned the key and push the button several times (the green flashing light does not illuminate ((deadb battery))) and FINALLY it unlatched allowing me access. I then closed it like an idiot when I walked away and cannot get to open again. The car has an appointment with an indy MERC shop on Monday and I would prefer to drive it there rather than tow. Any suggestions?

Blow the trunk hose from centerlook. It is under the rear seats.
