400SEL Doors will not Open
I have a 1993 400SEL in very nice condition. This car has been sitting for about one year.
The battery was dead when I checked out the car. I was able to open the trunk and replace the battery with a new one of the correct size.
When I tried to open the doors, the looks came up, the green light comes on, but the doors will not open.
I tried all 4 doors not one of them will open. I cycled all the locks many time with no luck
Any ideas ??
Any help would be appreciated ......

The locks cycle and the doors will not open? What do you think is the cause?
Do you have a mechanical "safety key" or "emergency key". On current M-B and BMW vehicles the emergency key is used to slip into a small hard to see slot in the door handle, to open the vehicle. Can you take a picture of the key and fob assembly, and the door handle? Several well lit and focused photos would help others to help you.

I do not, The only key I have is the one that's part of the Key Fob.
I have tried the Key, the button on the Key Fob, all seem to unlock the doors, but the doors will not open.
Dont know what to do ....

What about calling a roadside assistance company like AAA or similar? The local police department used to help with things like this back in the day. You would need to show proof of ownership (title and or registration). What about a towing/recovery company?
