1992 500 SEL
255/45/18

Hi Benz Owners!

Can I fit 255/45/18's all around on a 1992 Mercedes-Benz 500 SEL? or have 255/45/18's up front and 284/40/18's in the rear on 18x8.50 rims?

Thanks in advance!

The 285 tires are too wide for 8.5 inch wide rims. I have a staggered setup with 275/40/18 on rears with 9.5 inch rears.

hey guys, i have the W220 AMG monoblocks (staggered) and i'm running 275 out back 245 up front, i highly recommend those wheels. honestly you can run some seriously huge rubber out back i would not be suprised if 295 would fit, fitment of tire in wheel well is not issue, its merely finding a wheel big enough to fit it. hope that helps.

I am running four Yokohama 255/45 WR18 AVS DB S2's on AMG Monoblocks on my '98 S600. Luke from the TireRack recommended these and they work great. My cruise control works correctly now and they fixed a shifting problem with my tranny. PS: the car is near silent now.
