Accessories for Mercedes S500 (W140)
Hi,
Well I am looking to buy chrome grille,clean corners,exhaust tips,chrome license plates and off course nice chrome rims.
What is the best splace to buy that stuff? I saw some good deals on ebay but that stuff is after maket. I am not sure if that after market stuff really go well with the car or does it make the car look little odd?
Is it safe to buy atleast clean corners and chrome grille,exhaust tips,chrome license plates from ebay? are they worth the money?
Any tips?
Also is it true that Larger size rims takes away the smoothness of driving? I was thinking of 20''. I live in San francisco,California,USA. Should I get a smaller size? I don't want my car ot feel bumpy
Any suggestions?

do you want a chrome grill insert or chrome grill set. I probably have the best chrome grill inserts they have some heavy duty glue. I can sell you a huge roll for 22.95 + shipping. There will be even about 2 strips left over if you mest up.

I have to respond to the 20' s wheels first. Do not do it.
I have 18's which is the perfect size between look and performance, not too small, not too big to take away from the car itself. Infact Mercedes chose 18 for its final grand edition. Believe me, even at 18, you will feel the bump, but not too bad. Plus 18's still look low profile. Carlsons or amg monoblocks look awesome on w140. You can get them from Tirerack.com
Regarding, the clear corners, i got them from bekkers.com. I got orignal bosch equipment, didnt want to mess with after market.
Grill, i bought the complete whole grill thats comes all together in one and you take out your original grill and put the other one on. I bought mine from autorice.com.
