windows not working at all
Hi Guys,
Wonder if you had a problem with all door windows not working while other convenient features are good before. (W140)
It happened all of sudden that neither of the windows works. I checked the fuses in the engine room and at the trunk including the relay behind the engine room fuse box which is all good. I was thinking if that was from the comfort module or not but my understanding is that this module is for add-on things such as window auto open and close, and remote control for opening or closing but the basic function such as manual open or close should be working without this module.
Please advise. Thank you
Chalie

Start with checking fuses with a test light that uses a real incandescent light bulb.... something sized like the dome light bulb for your 140. You need the test light to pull enough amperage to put at least a little load in the circuit. Power on both sides of the fuse is what you are looking for. The digital volt meter will lie due to it being able to sense 12 volts through your body to a ground. Try it.
