Oh boy, air flow problem (a/c, heat)

The air in my car suddenly stopped. There is no air (cold or hot)comming out of the vents, even when i have the thing on auto (full blast).

My car is a 97 S500. I have heard that 96 and older models had A/C problems, and they are VERY expensive to fix. I hope this is not the issue in this case.

Since no air is comming out, i am assuming its a fan or blower issue, or maybe even a fuse..

Any ideas appreciated?

blower motor has this small regulator that fails,.. just get that and replace it and everything will be fine.. you dont need to buy the whole fan

Acc Fan Regulator

If the compressor is working, but you are not getting any air, the AC Fan Regulator as stated by the prior user maybe needs replacement, check to make sure all your fuse are OK and the compressor is working. I had the same problem on my 95 S500 recently, changing the regulator fixed it. See attached link for a picture of the regulator. You can also do a Google search for it.

Ok

Thanks for the tips..

I took it to my mechanic, and he will look into it. I will mention the tips to him, and see what his diagnostic is.

thanks
