looking for a 2006 amg s600

hello everyone! looking to purchase a s600 (preferably but not limited to amg).

first off let me start this off by saying that i’ve always wanted to own a mercedes benz. just recently, the lady and i decided it’s time we get a car and i went on a hard search for an affordable G wagon, turns out there is no such thing so we went for the mechanics favorite 2nd generation range rover p38! man let me tell you, everything they say about this suv is true. within the first couple of months of owning it the dash was sitting in my living room while i worked on all the electrical faults that occur with such a car. with that said i still love the car. it’s spacious, does it’s job, and looks amazing.

soon after owning this car i stumbled on a video where someone spoke of the s600 as the cheapest v12 engine car you can find on the market and immediately i said, cheap? v12? i need it.

i’ve done my research and yes i get it the car can be a headache but after dealing with this range rover there is absolutely nothing that scares me away from owning a v12 engine benz.

im not very picky although i would prefer a benz over 2004 since that’s when the turbo was introduced to these engines but i was wondering if you guys had any advice on where to purchase such a wonderful car? i’ve searched high and low on marketplace and craigslist and all i seem to find are s600’s under 2003.

222 S-65
OP the 221 chassis S Class is sooooo much improved over the 220 chassis that I strongly suggest you skip the 220.

Your car your choice. Do you want to enjoy it or work on it?

I sold my 221 S-65 with 150,000 miles on it. Worst issue with ABC was the nitrogen bomb at the duo pump failing (twice) in 90,000 miles. Ten minute repair.

Compare and contrast with any 220 car with ABC. Mercedes learned a LOT and applied that knowledge to the 221 cars.
I also never had to fiddle with an outside door handle in my 221 car.

Where to start? The Italians or the Germans?
I owned a 220 S600 and would highly recommend the 221 instead. The 220s are junk. They don't even feel like a real S-Class--they feel like an E-Class with a V12 engine.
