when car temperature reach 85~90 degree out of a sudden it will start having hard shifts on 1st and 2nd gear it will rev to max RPM and won't shift unless I lift my foot on throttle,
Throttle Seems to work normally along with Kickdown, but transmission not shifting unless lifting my foot on the pedal!
Changed Transmission 3 times and still same issue, Throttle Body, MAF, all Vacuum Lines ... what can be the issue?
Issue started once I fixed AC, it might be electrical issue?
Sounds like the shift point solenoid or the vacuum modulator. My guess its the shift point solenoid. I have the '93 V12 but it should be the same part. If you could send me your VIN I'll look it up in my shop manual and give you the location of it. On my car its left side engine compartment. Two vacuum hoses...one coming from the brake booster(not sure abt this) and one going to the right side of transmission. See attachment for circled part on mine. See this YouTube video abt 2:30 in.
I had same issue, had to change transmission and now kickdown works only on 35KM/h and then it doesn't work, when speed reaches 120km/h ABS/ASR issue and car goes limp mode, many issues with these cars couldn't solve it yet
I had to adjust the 5 to 6 inch bar by the throttle linjkage. The adjustment was too far to the right. This non ASR s420 1994.I aslso purchased a parts car with ASR on that linkage the adjustment was to the opposite direction. This is the transmission shift point linkage.....722.3 tranny
