no - i dont think its posing 99% of people dont know that the 600 is the only one with a 'full' silver grille - it just looks much nicer imho.
the C and E classs brigade do this all the time - its known as the avantgarde grille and is put on C180 classics (the base monel in the UK) to the E430 esprit / sport etc etc with no stigma
