is there a way to lower the antenna so that it will not come back up? I use to have this as an option in my 86 W126 but I am not sure about the W140.

 

turn the radio off? cut the power wire to the aerial?

on a side note - try not flooding forums with 101 questions in one go - you might get a better response by putting all the q's in one longer thread / question?
