1992 600SEL. I hit such a large pothole that it sent the car into ASR "limp mode". I pulled the car over and pulled the battery cable for a few minutes hoping that would "reset" the system. It did not. I was able to "limp" the car home but it will not start. No power to the fuel pump relays and I'm assuming no power to the ignition systems. I jumped both fuel pump relays to power the pumps but still no ignition. Signal for both come from N3/4 ECU. I've heard comments from past years ago that there might be an "impact" reset switch? Please help here!

With a rubber mallet, lightly tap down all of the modules in the computer box under the hood. Your accident may have loosened the connections. Hope that works. Good luck.
