Lumbar inflation problems

The lumbar support bladders in both front seats inflate a few minutes after my '98 S600 is running. They then deflate and inflate sporadically while driving (sort of a poor mans massage seat). Is this a short in the vacuum unit? Or a loose hose connection? How do I remove the trunk lining to get to the unit?

I've searched the the forum but can't find any references.
Thanks.

this is controlled by the pump under the rear seat, not the close assis pump in the trunk/boot

check the vac pipes to the switch as well (remove seat side plastic) etc etc...

Set the wheel(s) to zero, neither one should inflate. On the other hand if you have a leaking bladder (if inflated) the pump will attempt to inflate them. It seems the pump is getting a signal from the switches to inflate them. If it were only one I would chase the switch and its pressure sensing diaphram. The pump is under the rear passenger seat in a foam container
