S320 HARD & DELAY STARTING
I have a 1997 S320L which i recently purchased and had minor tune-up done since it was missing somewhat. The car when started cold starts up promptly but after driving for sometime and re-starting it seems to take longer than expected and sometimes you have to crank it 2 or 3 times. Also when i stop at a traffic light i seem to notice that it misses and even the rpm goes up and down but when pushed on gas it fine back to normal. The car accelerates normal shifting is normal just the missing a few times especially when i stop or shift from D to N.
Some people think its some sensor -- some say its Air Mask -- please help me i have already paid enough for the car.

1997 S600 Sedan
I might first suspect the air mass meter (mass air flow sensor) or
an intake leak. It appears that the engine isn't getting the proper fuel-air mixture. If it had this problem before and after the "tune-up", then whatever was changed during the "tune-up" process wasn't the problem.

I will check to see if any of the air intake pipes are loose or broken. I'm also tring to see if the dealer can just have it checked out tomorrow.
Will update you as to what they think the problem is.

Hi Brett and All !
The problem is solved ! I took it in to the Dealer since alot of mechanics outside diagnosed different types of probelms that was causing it. The dealer said its my fuel pressure regulator that causing this problem. The replaced it and adjusted the throttle and decarbonized the plugs and all seems to work well. Its starts perfect and have not noticed any missing as well.
