Car came with no phone in the center console or dash. Looking at other 95’s that had the phone and decoding the vin….cant see the option code for the phone.
Maybe the phone was removed at some point because I do see the wiring in the dash pop up storage area. Some 3.5 mm audio jack sticking out.
How can I tell if my car came with the phone or not.
As far as I remember,
options code range 250 - 259 was for radio/telephone options….
If we look at other 1995 600 sedans on Autotrader, Bringatrailer etc… and run a vin decode.
There are no separate telephone option codes on any of those cars either. I believe if your car is a USA car, it came with a phone standard for that particular country. You used to be able to buy the blank parts with no holes for the center console, and dash, for the phone deletion. Not sure if this parts are still available these days.
It is remotely possible there could be a telephone delete code….

This is what is in my 95 S420. My understanding from research with a previous vehicle is that these phones no longer work with current cell phone networks. Didn't seem like a good idea $ wise anyway as you are probably already paying for a cell phone that you will have with you.
My '93 600SEC has the phone installed but I can't see any code for it in my DataCard. Attached is your Datacard shown in the WIS/EPC program. Interesting that the repair/parts shown in the WIS/EPC for your car is limited. No interior or electrical info. Just engine, transmission, steering. At least in my shop program.
