Replaced instrument cluster but, need mileage adjustment

After weeks of trying to fix my cluster on my 98 s420 I just purshased a good used one and now it works fine but, the problem is, that the mileage is not the same I was wondering how I get my cluster reprogrammed to reflect my true mileage. I am unable to use the car until the mileage is fixed.

ONE PROBLEM AFTER ANOTHER WILL WILL THE MADDNESS STOP

There are at least two possibilities:

Have your true mileage verified and new cluster certified by the dealer, there is a section in the service booklet for this.

Use the same instrument as the Honest Johns 2nd Hand Car sales do:

Remote possibility is that the Dealer can do the reprogramming as well.

At present...your car is TMU...true milage unknown....not good for resale....you should see a dealer asap to see if they can recertify your new speedo...

Since they didn't do the changeout...they may not. I'd be interested to find out the outcome

Since yours is a '98, dealer should be able to plug into the comp and re-programe the cluster.....
