1994 S420, ABS and ASR lighs are on

Hi All, I am a new member and hoping for help.

I have a 1994 S420 with 240.000 KM.
I have been having problems with ABS and ASR lighs on at the same time.
When I start the car and drive it is ok after about 30 seconds to 2 minuts the light come on and then several systems do not work like, speedo, odometer, gas consumption guege, crouse control, power steering goas to half power.

I live in Canada and in the winter time driving this car in snow and ice without ABS or traction control is very dangerous and nerv wraking.

I have had the car looked at several times and pluged in to the computer, the codes are for a fromt left abs sesor. i had it replaced and it was ok for about 3 weeks, and then the same thing happend again.

then the replaced a chip and it was ok for a few days only.

I dont know what to do, the dealer will soak me for big $$$$ if i keep on comming bace every time, they are just guessing.

Did any of you expiriance anything like this or have advice for me.
Could it be my instrument cluster acting up and?
Please HELP

Just for the heck of it check your voltage output. I had a bad regulator on my 1994S500 it was putting out over 18volt and driving my electrical system crazy. just takes a min. run a volt meter across your battery. should be putting out bwtween 14&& 14.5 V

Thank you for your reply, I have a reading of 12.3V with engine off and 14V with engine running.
I spoke to a guy yesterday that is specializing in electrical problems on MB and BMW, he has the proper scanner for the car, i will try to see him today he charges only $60.00 to scan all on board computers and print out a report, better then the dealer at $250.00 per scan.

I will post the results.

Just Got Back from the Mechanic.
It looks like the Front wheel speed sensor is responsible for this problem.
I have had it replaced prior and the problem went away for a bout one month.
I did get a used part back then. a new sensor from MB is $500.00.
The other option i was told is to try and clean the sensor, some times it gets pluged up with break dust.
I guess that is the cheapest solution at the moment.
