Gear sticking at high speeds

Gear sticking at high speeds
When driving my 96 S 500 my gears have start to stick at high speeds (70-80). I have to hit the gas to unstick the gear, but when I am going up a hill or on a straight away the rpm will raise up and stick again. I must again hit the gas hard to unstick the gears. Can anyone tell me what might be going on. Thanks
