Command problem
My command would not read any of the new updated navigation cd's, it reads the old one just fine let alone it's a copied one. The car is in the dealer right now and they said the command is bad. It's gonna cost $2200 for a new command. Anyone with this problem before? Any info is appreciated. Thanks

The 2000 S500 came with "C" nav and "D" nav systems depending on date of manufacture; both use CDs, but different formats. One will not read discs for the other. Before you replace your system, be sure you have the right discs. You can determine the type of system you have by referring to the following: http://forums.MBWorld.org/forums/sho...ighlight=D-Nav
Once you have determined that, you can order the right set.
If you need to update your discs, I suggest either the Mercedes update program (they run specials - unfortunately, not at present, but I updated my whole-country set for $149) - or alternatively, try http://www.continentalimports.com/nav_maps.html
