Transponder location

Transponder location
I have a 04 S430 4Matic. My building has installed a new unattended parking system in our garage. I studied the info in the owners maual about placement of a transponder on the front window.
NOTHING works. They want to give me a transponder that attached to my front license plate holder.
Can anyone give me any clues to making it work by location on the inside.

if you look at the rear view mirror from the inside, just to the right and behind it, it should work there...
the other spot, which is more meant for like a radar detector but may look weird with the transponder.
Look from the outside of the car at the lower right quandrant of the windshield. Then look from an angle with a flashlight, you should see a "trapezoid" area which lets radar/infrared signals through and you could mount there.
Try doing the same for the top area near the rear view from the outside and you should see something similar.
give it a shot.
