reset inspection message

Is there a way to reset the message that comes up on a 2000 S500 that tells you have exceeded the B Service? I know that in my BMW I just needed to jumper a couple of pins and it reset the service lights. Can it be that easy in a Mercedes? I do pretty much all of the maintenance work on the car myself and don't have any plans on being at the dealer any time soon.

i think all you do is hold the R reset button until it disappears. Or something to that effect. It might be in the owner's manual, but def. in a past post.
