Keyless Go Cautionary Reminder
Ok, I know it's been posted in various forums before, but I just wanted to bring it up again to remind folks. If you have Keyless Go, remember to check your light switch setting after you valet your car. Otherwise, you could end up with a dead battery.
If most of you are like me, you use the Auto setting exclusively. My wife and I have 2 young children so we don't go out at night much at all. Well, I went out last night to a place that had valet parking. As many valets do, they changed the light switch manually. I didn't think about it when I got home, so after getting back home, I went in the house and left the lights on all night. The battery drained completely.
The problem here is that the Keyless Go chime overrides all other warnings. So, if you turn the car off and have left the lights on, you won't see a warning on the MFD reminding you to turn the lights off. Poor design if you ask me.
Just a friendly reminder.
