Facelifted Body kits on 01 S-class, Please advice!
Dear All,
Hello all, i am new to the forum.
I would like yours best advice.
I own a 01 S-class. I am having the 03 (facelifed) AMG styling kits onto it.
Not only has to replace a new hood but also the chrome grill to match the new front bumper. And 2 longer rubbing strips.
However, I have come up with a problem you may not discover. I have found out that all those PTS sensors was different, smaller and located at top of the bumper surface. My mechanic sad he could try drill a bigger hole on the rubber strips and install them. Moreover, he explain to me that even if we buy new sensors, they may not function well with the old cable. Is this true? Do you have any similar experience with your W220 or other models? Please help! Are the new sensors expensive for 10 of them? (6 on front,4 at rear)
Thank again.
