S600 vs. A8L W12?
I haven't been able to find an A8L W12 to drive, but I'm wondering if anyone here has driven both the S600 and the A8, and what their impressions were -- obviously the opinion might be slightly biased, and I'm sure the new S600 will compete much better with the A8.

CL 600 Bi-Turbo
I have driven a W12 but own a V12 CL600.
The V12 engine beats the Audi hands down it is far more refined & delivers the power to the road effortlessly.
I am not sure about an S600 but I guess it wouldn't be far off the CL.

s65AMG, sl500
I driven the CL600, same engine and chassis as S600, own an S55 and had an S430 before. I had a short test drive in a A8 4.2 V8 (they had no W12 available)
The A8 doesn't ride as well, really lets the car down, interior is very nice, handled well. Even the salesman admitted the W12 drinks juice, they are looking at putting a V8 in the bentley due to the negative feed back on the w12 engine.
The current S600 is way faster, the engine is supersmooth as said above with huge amounts of power delivered effortlessly, I'd pick the curret model over the A8

they will never seem the same, the S600s have turbo. they never quit pulling.
Now if you can over look the power i would buy the audi, they a beautiful car, interior is best out there, and hey have the most room of any car on the road except for the maybach 67. Also if you drive a lot a audi does present the big pockets a mb does. No a big deal to most but for those of us that drive a lot and are in and out of different town.. i like to be on down low![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
If it was me i would get a used A8L then a sports car with the money you have saved. I mean you could do say a 04 A8L in the 20K milage ranger for $60 K ish... then a 01 or so SL for $30K ish... still have money left over.
