question re upgrades

Hi all,

Is it possible to do the following on a '02 S430:
1. Change headlights (xenon) to the clear lense version as per current model.
2. Change the rear tail lights to match current style.
3. Change Command to the newer Command system (Command II??).

Thanks in advance.

1. Yes, Performance Products But you will lose your Hi Beam Capability. I would go for the PIAA H7 Super White Bulbs (Cheap in comparison)

2. Yes, Performance Products or your Local MB Dealer I did it!

3. Not Sure, MB Guru please advise, I want to do this if possible.

LOL,

LOL,
1. Bi-xenon upgrade, your info is incorrect, MBnl aka Steve Krabbenborg, did mine and I have full function of everything HI-and low beam, the only thing that wont work is auto level, if your car didn't come originaly w/factory xenons the leveling motors aren't there so no auto leveling, but if it did originaly come w/factory xenons everything works 100%
Check your facts before blurting wrong info

Well, I may be new to this forum but I am not new to forums and it's customs

I got the information from Performance Products here is a quote from Performance Products website:

Xenon Bulb Conversion Kit
by XENON

from $499.00
You've seen the late model high-end automobiles driving towards you projecting a bluish light that provides exceptional lighting qualities. This is the technology of Xenon Gas HID lighting. Performance Products can now offer this Xenon Headlamp Bulb kit ,complete with Hella ballasts and easy to follow instructions, at a great price. These kits are available for just about every car that takes a headlamp bulb insert. Recommended for off road use only. Please check your local state laws. Xenon Lights for 9004 bulbs work on low beam only and you will lose high beam capability on these models, but with our Xenon Light Bulb Kit you'll probably never need your high beam lights again.
Well if yours work, that is great news, maybe I will upgrade mine now thanks brotha

LOL,
Hey don't take my word for it, ask Steve yourself...He's a real nice helpfull guy Back to the Bi-xenons Once they were installed I couldn't believe the difference over any other car I've ever owned, then I hit the Hi-Beams! Oh sh*t look out! It's like a cops flood lights just blazing This is by far the most worthwhile mod you gotta do it....Performanceproducts sells a bunch of crap don't bother w/them although I might be picking up 1 of their MP designs steering wheels(Only because their the only retailers I could find that sell MP designs awesome steering wheels) Steve sells the complete brand new headlight itself w/retrofitted connecters, that kit from performanceP sounds like something else IE..crap....
Oh I re-read your post, that xenon kit is just that a kit, not the same as the 03'- on up w/clear lenses retrofit, Dude spend the extra cash and get the real deal, that's just a lame bulb conversion....Steve installed mine just under $1700.00

Once again, you are correct it is just a kit. I decided against it now that I read it doesn't auto adjust with either of the kit or Steve's Awsome Conversion. I would hate to blind someone or worse yet a cop, get pulled over for it and get a ticket.

Strange about PP stuff so far I've been pretty satisfied with their junk and best yet their customer service. I only went their because my MB Dealer Mechanic recommended I go their because I wanted to upgrade my foggy head light lens to clear then I saw all the other junk for sale then I pulled the trigger.

I would spend that kind of dough if it wasn't my work car like my SL500 but I got to be cautious I want to trade it in for a CL500 and need to revert to stock if I need to in a hurry without losing too much on it.

Thanks again for Bi-Xenon info. If I sell to a Private Party, I will direct them to Steve

LOL,

BTW, Tail Lights were from my MB Dealer OEM, Hood Badge & Skirt from CEC, only the Tips and Grill's from PP and H7 & Tires & Wheels from TIRERACK.
