title says it all. Totally sucks. Right smack in the middle of the bottom middle portion of the windshield. Is there a way to get it filled? would you recommend that or should i have it replaced? The chip is not that large and the crack is still fairly small. If it can be filled and repaired, do you guys have a shop in southern california you can refer me to? Thanks in advance.

For the structural integrity of your car and the safety of you and your passengers, replace the glass entirely. The crack can only get worse.

This happened to me as well a mere four months after I got my car (although it sounds like my crack was bigger). You can get insurance to pay for it, less your deductible of course.

not a big deal call insurance up they usually do the rock chip for free, after the crack got filled in i have been in subzero temperatures with the car and nothing happened to the crack, I could barley see it unless i looked for it.

sweet, thanks guys. I just called my insurance company and they (21st century) said they dont have a zero deductible feature on windshields but they will cover it just as long as i pay my deductible.
