Interior Illumination and Cluster
I just got my car back the other day from the shop. Maybe I haven't noticed it before but do the lights dim lower while driving when the door is shut and brighter when they are open? Is there settings for it to stay bright all the time? It feels like the car's battery is running on its last juice.

Thanks Benzondubz. They just installed a body kit. It's been a couple of days now and everything seems to work fine but I just never noticed it. Ofcourse it would only be at night. Can anyone in this forum verify if this is a problem or not. Thanks again.

Mercedes all the way!

ok, i'm sure you didn't. but yes, the cluster lights do become dimmer when you turn on the exterior lights. and yes, they do brighten when the doors are open, compared to when they are closed.
you can make the cluster lights brighter by turning that little round knob on the left of the cluster clockwise (NOT the one that says "R")

there is also a little light sensor on the dash that makes the cluster very bright when the sun is directly hitting the cluster.
I only found this out the other day while driving home
