I currently own an 03 S600 and love the car except for the sound, my previous cars was an '03 S55 and I loved the sounds of the exhaust.

Does anyone know of an exhaust for the S600 that would make it sound more like a S55? I talked to Brabus and they say that their exhaust for the S600 isn't much louder and wouldn't be what I want.

Has anyone created a custom exhaust setup? I am thinking of going that route if I can't find any other options.

Try just going to a muffler shop and getting your resonator removed. Other then that, the turbo really muffles exhaust noise because of the way it works.

I have a E46 M3 with the Eisenmann Race Performance and my friend also has the Eisenmann Race on his SL55 and it sounds crazy! I also recommend the Eisenmann...you should hear some of the clips they have on thier site, its an exceptional exhaust.

I've got Eisesnmann on the SL600, it sounds like an exotic now!!!

In my opinion it's the best out there!!
