I have an 02 S500. It looks like the side windows are starting to delaminate at the top or leading edge. I am starting to see what looks like air bubbles? Could this really be happening on such a new car. I have seen this on very old cars but never on something this new. Is this a common problem, if so will it be covered under warrenty?
No this does not have any aftermarket tint on it nor has it ever had.
Any help is appreciated.

I have seen it on a few cars now and yes, it is covered by warranty. Its in between the 2 panes of glass so all you can do is replace the glass.

Even though my car is past the 4 year warrenty period?

I would think so since this is pretty rare and I would not think this should happen in such short time.

I have contacted dealer and they need to see it.

Mercedes will not cover it after the 4 yrs/50,000 miles. If it gets covered, thank the dealer because its coming out of their pocket. We will do that sometimes if it is a good customer and they arent far out of warranty. They call it goodwill and the dealer pays for it. Worth trying though.
