lower the car

The dealer said if I buy the lower unit(from carlson etc...) they will lower the car for a charge of $600 and it will not void my warrenty...which is great....

The question is if I go from 18 to 19" and lower the ride about 1 inch will I need realignment?

thanks!

Depends if you're gonna get new tires with those 19s. If so, and if the overall tires diameter is exactly the same, then no.

And ask them about Star Diagnositcs. My dealer wants ~$290 to lower the car through that.

thanks..i'll check...but does that mean I wont need to order an aftermarket part like Carlson\lorinsor's lowering chip?

they said they could lower it but there would be alot of computer problems and lights going crazy unless they use that in conjunction with the programing...
