installed genuine Mercedes '03-'04 taillights in my '00 S500. Bought them from Performance Auto Parts. Had to cut off one plastic guide piece on each light assembly (no hole in the metal body for the guide to fit into - used a modeler's saw, cut it flush with the assembly) and move one bolt on each from one location to another (bolt must be set straight and screwed in tightly; its socket is not pre-threaded). Also, the replacement assembly lacked a grommet on one bolt that the original had. I just transferred it from the old. Very simple, nice fit. 20 minute job. Pics on my profile page.

I don't know if the holes in the body of your car are exactly the same as my '00; it's possible you won't have to make any modifications at all.

For 2003 Taillight, what color is the blinker bulb ?

Is the bulb for the blinker orange or blue?
The reason I ask, my 430 is a 2002 and upon my purchase the upgrade was already performed by the previous owner. I go to the dealer for some minor issues, one being the rear taillight being out, I just noticed today 1 blinker is blue/white light and the other is orange.

So the tech must have read the 2002 specs calling for the orange bulb, but I'm not sure if the previous owner actually put different bulbs regardless of 2002 or 2003

thanks for you help

Ron

The bulbs for the turn signals in my OEM kit were orange.
