I got punk'd...

Atleast thats what im thinking. I bought my new 03 style headlights from Procarparts.com and they were cheap...like $1,500 for the ones with xenon. One questions is that I dont think these are Bi-Xenon but low beam is xenon and high beam is halogen. I mean im not that pissed, seeing others paying $2,000+ for bi's.

So anyone know the deal? The lights are being installed right now at the dealer but not sure about the bi-xenon part.

Thanks,
Amir

I'm sure someone will let you know. My C43 has only low beam Xenons I don't know what year MB finally devised both high/low Xenons.

Alright...I got my car back today and I was right. Low beams=Xenon and Highbeams=halogen. I recommend this mod to any 00-02 S-class, really improves the front end of our cars!!

I did that mod myself a couple months ago and bought from procarparts aswell .. I feel ya.. The 2000 S500's do not have HID high beam for the the record. I replaced all the bulbs in mine.

low beam> Phillips 6000k Ultinon
high beam> Silverstar H7
fog light> Silverstar H7
city light> hyperwhite 194
turn signal> SilverStar 7507AST >(has a ion blue glow(when off )in the day and flashes newer orange color at night)

ps.now do your side mirror lights... here is the how to thread

The regular Xenons have Low Beam Xenon and Hi beam Halogen. The lenses are not clear but have patterns to distribute the light. The Bi_Xenons have Hi and Low beam Xenon. Actually the low beam is just reducing the Hi beam light by a "shutter". The Bi_Xenon have clear lenses. But there are also clear lenses lights supplied which have Hi and Low beam in halogen. What you describe are the regular Xeneons Hi beam halogen low beam Xenon.

G-baby, sorry to dig up this old thread, but what dealer did this for you? Autobahn motors in belmont gives me the "i dont know what you are talking about" for a simple set to 'xenon present' request!

thanks
