error reading navi disc.. HELP!!

error reading navi disc.. HELP!!

i have 2 problems:
navi says sometimes that it can't read navi cd
when I select a destination it says CALC. ROUTE and then NO ROUTE so it doesn't calculate the route..


what to do?
please help me

Try this

Try copying the disc. If the disc copy is successful insert the copied disc into the navigation system.

the copy is ok but sometimes it appears the message: error reading cdrom

What year is your car? You might be using the wrong disk. Earlier models are equiped with the "C" nav and some are "D" nav. Depending on what disk you are using, both are not interchangable. Are all your disks display the error? Have you ever used that particular disk in the past and did it work ok? Please clarify.

This might seem simple...but is it possible that the laser pick up has some dust on it? Is it ok to run a "cleaner kit" DVD through the reader like we do on Video DVD players?

I bought the car in april 2000

I don't remember which is c and d (but mine has all lines in the display so is the newest)

I cleaned recently..

what to do?
