SRS Warning light!

Well my SRS light seems to stay on whenever I have a passenger in the car. I know it is supposed to turn on when they are seated improperly, but it stays on almost intermittently eventhough the person is sitting correctly. I actually had to drive over some rough roads to have it turn off at times. Anyone know what this might be could it be the seat sensor malfunctioning??
Thanks for all the help!

Unhappy

Hi everyone,
My car have exact same problem whenever someone sit at the front passenger seat. It will off about 2 minutes later. I read somewhere there is a problem in the SRS system. I would appreciate too if anyone can tell us the cause.

I've had that happened and the dealer took care of it under warranty. They mentioned it was a faulty sensor and I didn't ask for more info beyond that

This is a common problem, especially on W210 and W163. I just changed mine on my E class. The sensor is only $160, but you need take the pass seat apart.

It runs pretty much across your whole seat button. The leather must come off.
