W220 comand - disc ejecting?
Hello All,
This is for information only - could possibly save you a few thousand pounds/dollars/euros!!!
My friend has an S600 with dual handsets. His SAT NAV began to misbehave and had problems with it's location, frequently misguding itself and getting it's location wrong. The disc would eject and keep ejecting several times before it would stay in the system.
He went to the dealership, who said the COMAND system is faulty, £1200 thank you.
Undeterred by this, we managed to get a very experienced Mercedes Benz mechanic on the case and he found out that it was the CABLE IN THE REAR HANDSET that was faulty. He removed the handset and everything has been fine since.
If you get a problem like this - try this out - STAR DIAGNOSTICS comes up with an error message saying the upper control panel module is faulty.
Just a thought.
