Airmatic/ABC Problems
I have read about several Airmatic/ABC Problems with 2000-2001 cars, I am thinking of buying a used 2003 S600 is this still an issue with the 2003 models or have they worked out the problems? Also are there any other concerns I should have with this model/year? The car I am looking at has had flood damage it has only 10K miles and the owner has had the car for about a year and no issues but any repairs that could come up I would have to pay for.

First of all, I've heard that the first thing to go are the relays before the airmatics completely give out. If there's still some warranty on that, have the dealer check it out first.
I have an 01 so can't really comment on 03s.
However being a flood damage car, I would run away without hesistating.
An S class is problematic already, but have water damage, that's not good.
I wouldn't bother with this car if I were you, no matter how cheap it is.
Give it more time and things can start to rust/deteriorate..............
Just imagine an electrical glitch when you're on the freeway and a complete failure of the steering wheel and brakes
