Hydraulic Trunk Issue

Taking it in to the Dealership on Thursday to have it looked at but wondered if anyone had any thoughts in advance:

2002 S430
Trunk opens effectively but when closing it seems to over-torque causing the back/rear passenger side of the trunk to pop up. Hydraulic pump then gets a little "confused" and continues to whine until the engine is turned off.

Thoughts?

Trunk..

It appears.. as if the seal has been broken and the air pressure is leaking though. Normally when the hydraulic pump closes.. it forms an airtight seal.
Dealer has to fix it I believe..

Try the fuse trick

I`m not sure what fuse it is, but locate the fuse from the map in your tool box, and pull the fuse out for 60 seconds, then put it back in. It might reset the pump and you might be able to avoid the $ealer
