MB Motorola car phone
I have recently bought a S320 (year 2000) and have been trying to activate the MB Motorola phone that came with it. When I insert the Large sim card(credit card sized SIM) into the phone cradle and try to switch on the phone, I get the message that the Card is not found and then the phone switches off. I get this message on the Comand Screen. Can someone tell me if I have to switch something else on before this phone may be used or it may recognize my Sim?? Maybe the dealer has to program something into the car before this phone may be used. The previous owner did use this phone but he is out of town for a few weeks and I cannot ask him.

Hi Nasir,
there two types of cards in the markets. You might have to check if the Motorola phone from the year 2000 is accepting the newer cards which came out 2-3 years ago. Maybe you need to talk to your mobile phone provider if they offer different card systems, and if they a "upward compartible".
