Cool

You need a hair dryer and dental floss to remove the letters. Just warm them up, not too much, and slide the dental floss behind the letters and off they are. Clean the paint with alkohol something like that. Not necessarily Grappa :-)

to put ones on, try Ebay there are plenty of sellers for "original" Mercedes letters.

I use Epoxy glue and a Piece of paper masking tape to hold in place until dry, but make sure they are correctly placed as I don't think you will be able to remove them afterwards.

The other option to stck on the old ones is to use double sided tape. Or what sometimes is called Mirror Tape. It is a double sided tape which is about 0.5 mm thick. Take one side of the protection tape off, glue it to the letters, cut the tape in shape of the letters, remove the other protection and stick it to the car. I would not take epoxy or any aggressive glue, not to ruin the paint surface. You need to make a provision to put the letters on in the same distance and line up as the originals were, otherwise it looks like S***
