Finally.....my car is ready!!! Yipee!!!!

After almost 5 agonising months since the carjacking, I got the call from the stealer today telling me the whip is ready to be picked up. This is going to be a GREAT weekend.....phew...was starting to get sick of my Mazda.....

I'll be sure to post the "post-surgery" pics in a few days, after my euphoria calms down a bit.

Oh yes it has, ClayJ....apparently my body now needs to remember what driving a Benz feels like. I have driven for about 45 minutes so far today (just to the office and then to get a quick lunch), and I was driving like I just bought the car...you know...making turns a little more slowly than I used to and all that. Funny enough, I almost got a ticket for speeding after leaving the stealer...I was doing 80mph in a 55mph zone and didn't realize it, probably because when I drove at 80mph in the Mazda...bro...trust me, I FELT it...lol.

Good to be back in the saddle!

I know exactly what you're talking about.

And everything's fine with it - cannot even tell upon inspecting the car that anything ever happened?

You know...both Mazda and Mercedes both start with an M....but that's about where the similarities end! LOL

Good to hear. Happy for you.

Well...the car seems to be in great shape, the only thing I've noticed so far is that the front end of the car, primarily the passenger side, is lower than the driver side, hence there is rubbing on the front right wheel when I make a slow left turn. I'll take it back to the stealership in a couple of days to get looked at.
As an aside, I just noticed that the crooks took all my CDs along with the subwoofers and amplifier I had installed in the trunk. Even more retarded is that the CD changer was fully loaded with 6 of THEIR discs which they were apparently enjoying at my expense.

Likely a leak in the right front strut.

And what area of town are we going to avoid? Security Boulevard!!

Regarding CD's in the changer

Dont you think there would be the thiefs prints on the CDs ? they/he had to have put them in the changer somehow.....

The man who put the gun to my head and took the keys went on to carjack and murder someone else a month later, and is in jail right now, so obviously he has bigger concerns than being busted for taking my car.

Took the car back to the stealer and my insurance company is only willing to pay 25% of the cost to fix the air suspension problem, because the stealer told the agent that the airmatic system was on its way to going bad, and was merely aggravated by the rough handling the car was subjected to.

That is shady for the dealer to say that to your insurance. How did the dealer determine it was on the way out? Did they diagnose a problem at a previous time? It doesn't make sense, even if the suspension was wearing out the fact that the car was stolen and that is when the damage was done. So they should adjust the claim and cover it. It sounds like they are trying to pull a fast one on you. My 2 cents. Good luck, hopefully your life is getting back to normal after that traumatic experience.

Was the man he murdered the store owner from Security Square Mall who was killed during a carjacking in the Mall parking lot?

Thanks for closing the loop. I recalled your post where you said the profile of the suspect they had showed after the store owner was killed (I didn't know if you meant photograph, or descriptive word profile) was the same as the guy who had held a gun to your head.

You were fortunate.
