Angry Removing Mirrors From S Class Doors

Can anyone tell me how to remove the mirrors from the s class 430 500 600?

I have rubber seals to replace my worn out ones on my 2000 s500. I can get to the screws by adjusting the mirror, but how do I remove the housing to disconnect the wires? Seems easy, but I do not want to break anything. Help would be appreciated.

unfortunately not! You need to slide a flat metall piece (covered with tape to proect the paint of the mirror housing) 1/2 wide and ~1/16" thick between the mirror glass and the lower housing frame, and pry a metal clip up and pull the housing away from the car. (you need some force!)
To locate the clip, to use the above mentioned tool, use a LED torch and look for the clip about 1,5"-2" away from the right housing frame (driver side mirror), at the bottom of the housing. Slide in the tool and pry upwards, and pull the housing. Then the housing slides off, the electrical connections are also there, and then if you want you can swap the LED markers to the upgraded clearglass. But those are not available at the dealer's partshop. They dont sell those seperately. You need to buy them at EBAY or so. Mostly Taiwan made, but ok. (~ $60 a pair)

Once the housing is removed use a T-20 screw driver to remove the one visible screw then turn ignition on and fold in the mirror. Once the mirror is folded you will have access to the 2 remaining screws. You will need to stick the screwdriver between the mirror support and the folding mechanism.
