What mods are required for facelift rear lights?
Gents,
I am about to order facelift rear lamps for my 2000 S500. I have heard that the '03 rear lamps require a small mod before being fitted. Does anyone know what is involved?
Many thanks.

Just unscrew a small stud and move it to a new location. Apart from that just bolt them in, but change the bulbs over before you install them as this is a lot easier than trying to do them on the car.

Lloyds is correct. If you buy OE Mercedes parts, you may also have to saw off a plastic guidepost for which there is no corresponding hole in the body. No big deal - I used a modeler's saw, but any fine blade will do.

Does anyone have pics of the rear tail lights installation? I just ordered mine from Vertex Racing on Ebay for $129 for the pair + $24 shipping. They should be arriving in a couple days. I thought it would be nice to see pics like the ones I saw for the side-view mirror LED lights.
