Warmed up brakes are squealing loudly

A few times over the past week. I'm braking normally (not hard, not light) at the red light and the brakes squealed badly several times. In one instance, I rolled the window down and smelt the scent of burnt rubber. The brakes are fully warmed up too.

I was thinking worn pads of course, but to test it, I gave her a hard stops a few times on the street and it stopped just fine with no squeal. I have no dashboard message that indicates the need to replace pads either. Any ideas?

To solve this problem you will have to take the pads off, clean them and apply some brake quiet easily obtained from the local parts store for less than $4. Clean the pads, callipers and around the pistons. Apply this gel on the back of the pads and on the springs. Problem solved. Also thais would be a good time to inspect pads, rotors for wear. That could also be. Brake job in these cars is a real easy DIY.
