Opinions on extended Wtys. Appreciated
care to rate your extended wty., with points like cost,where purchased,service ect.
I know that many are dealer purchased but was particularly intrested in privately bought ones.
Any kind of feedback appreciated.

Mercedes Benz E350 CDi Blue Efficiency
Hello,
I had a third party warranty from warranty direct in the UK - waste of time, too long to get things sorted out.
Got my S class, got a Mercedes Warranty, cost me £1100 including the checkup, and it's a breeze - MB dealers sort it all out for you - no phone calls - had a noisy air suspension compressor replaced - bestthing i ever did.
Will definately renew come November!!

I have a Titanium warranty from Great Lakes Warranty. my local MB shop works with them just like MB warranty and there is $0 deductible. It's not cheap, $3500, but has unlimited mileage for 4 years and covers almost anything in the S class. So far they have fixed my power trunk and even replaced some bulbs and a door relay or something... total costs $1450 in repairs and it cost me $0.
I highly recommend Great Lakes.

Shame about the Wtty Direct(was this not the company Warren Buffet bought into and advised his followers too as well back in 2002) review, as they were supposed to be one of the better one in the USA(maybe they are,lol).
With regard to the Lakes Co, I went to their website but it seems they want you to go to a dealer to get any real info. on coverage and prices.
Good to here it worked for you.
Other ppl have said just take 3 or 4 grand, stick it in the bank and see what happens, who knows hey.

I purchased an Ext Wtty from Warranty Direct in the USA for a 2001 GMC Yukon, we havent had to use it yet but it was the cheapest one we could find,(over $1200. less than the GM one).
We did check with the service manager at the dealer we bought the car from and he said he had no problem dealing with them as he had used them before.We have not had to put it to the test yet, so thats all I can say right now.
