help power close assist went out

First my front doors went then the rears and trunk on mt 01 s500. Why would they go like that. Is there a pump involved? Sensors, fuses. What should I check first. Has this happened to anyone else? What was the repair cost? Thanks.

I had that happen on my '04 but only on the passenger front. I took it in and found out that the vacuum pump controls that as well as several other functions. There is a circuit board related to the pump that go's bad so MB replaces the unit as an assembly. Seems like you can't do the board w/o replacing the pump. There are a few relays involved as well but in your case with multiple failures, my vote is on a unit replacement. Mine was covered under warranty. I think I asked what it would be self pay and I think they said about $750+-..don't qoute me. Good luck.
