S-Class Surfboad/Luggage Rack?
I'm in need of information on a top quality luggage rack that will fit a '02 S-Class. Actually, I need one that can handle two surf boards. No, it's not for me. I have a broker that needs it for a client.

2004 S 600
I bought top carry bike rack.....excellent quality, built by Mercedes....from the dealerhip....for my 2001 S600....sure it will fit yours....doesn't touch car paint at all....pull down molding right at roof line on car...you'll see protruding hex bolt that custom fits to rack....yeah, don't see many S with racks in US....but da Germans snow ski! All sorts of optional carriers come with basic rack system.
Yakima and Thule don't make rack for S....the one for S that Merc makes is much better quality than either.

Thanks, I pulled the rubber grommet down and there they were. Luggage rack mounting points. Wow! I learned something new today. I can go home now.
The parts department counter guy said no such part is in their computer but I just couldn't buy it having skiied in Europe. I know no bier-bluted German would buy an S-Class that didn't allow a ski rack. Now, a surfboard rack is another story.

Did the parts guy really say he didn't have it in his system. I got mine form the guy who runs the accessories department....wheels, stereos, hats, everything in catalog, etc.......know they'll have it.
