Hey guys, im getting close to purchasing a w220 sclass, probably a 200 or 2001, 320 or 430.

Ive just read about the instrument clusters failing, which may cost me big to put right!

Are there any other known major faults either mechanical or electrical, before I do anything rash???

look around on here, go to carfax and look up the model for problem areas, recalls ect(its free unless you pull a vehicles history, also look at Edmonds.com, Kelley Blue book,ect.
the NHSTA shows recalls too.
Plus if you want real peace of mind get an ext, wtty and a full service history on your car.

Also Air-Matic...check the service history. DO NOT buy one of these cars with out a warranty!
