Air

I replaced my front right shock absorber and rehooked up the air line to it...now in the morning when I go to the car the whole front right side is jacked up about 4 inches...when I unlock the door you can hear the air release..just like when you lock the car and the air ride release the air and allows the car to settle. I think it may be the air valve but want your guys opinion if you guys have experienced this. It seems like the air valve is allowing air to go to the shock absorber when the car is off...the compressor stores a certain amount of air at all times and I think that is where it is coming from...does anyone know where the air valves are located..any help is appreciated...thanks

Sounds like a very good time to visit your local Mercedes dealer. After all it is a complex bit of kit and the dealers have all the gear and the knowhow to fix it.

I took it to my Step fathers auto garage and he ran a scan on it...no codes pulled up so he feels its the air valve leaking...price for air valve $610 no labor...was just trying to see if anyone else has experienced this and has any input or a method to fix it besides draining my wallet...thanks

I do understand. Are you sure it is over $600 dollars just for the air valve? Sounds a lot. Might be worth running a search of other threads here and on benzworld to see what others have done.
