NOS on a W220???

Hello all. I was just curious if any one here has tried putting on a NOS kit on a S500 W220? It sure would be nice to have an extra 100 horse available if I wanted it.

For less expense and bother, you can get 200 HP by upgrading to a used S55. And there's always the S65. Then there's a Renntech chip and airbox and you've got like a 700 HP W220. If you want to talk about adding NOS to a W220, you should start from the strongest available tune, not the 300 horse version.

RENNtech motor/trans software upgrade for the '03 and up S600. $6400 for a total of 625 HP and 745 lb/ft tq at 1800-3500 rpm. I recall them running 0-60 in the upper 3 sec range and mid 11's for the 1/4 mile. Fast for a 4800 lb car.

They don't make nitrous kits for any w220, not that I have found. It is possible, I believe one of the kits made for Mustangs can be retrofitted on.

Do you understand how nitrous works and the risks involved? I HAVE seen a E55 member run nitrous successfully. However, I do recommend talking to a Mercedes mechanic prior if you are serious and nitrous, many of times, is a serious modification. If gone wrong, well, prepare to have extra pocket change for another motor.
